Cyber Security

Cyber Security is a process that involves practices that was developed and designed to

protect the data, computers, networks, websites, devices, and software programs from the

attack and access by unauthorized individuals. Due to the advancement of the technology and

increased use of the internet by many people, there are increased cases of the cybercrime and

cyber theft that has led to many people incurring a significant losses. Therefore, development

and implementation of the cyber security has greatly helped the individuals to be aware of their

data safety while using the technologies and internet.

The cyber security information is very important to the individual to enable them to

understands how they can implement it, why they should use the cyber security techniques,

when to use the system, and where to use the cybersecurity techniques. The cyber security

technique will enable an individual using the internet or technologies to protect all the

necessary details about the data and protect them from attack and unauthorized access. The key

function of the cyber security technique is protecting the individual data from cybercrimes and

cyber threats. The cybercrime and cyber threats can be in form of malware, cyber-attacks

among other internet and cyber threats (Abomhara, 2015).

Even though the cybersecurity mechanism is put in place, there are still cases about the

cybercrime and data attacks or unauthorized access. This indicates that even though the

technique is available, the individuals should be given a clear knowledge and information to

ensure that they are aware on the use and how to use the technique to protect their data. Also,

the individuals should be aware of various ways of implementing the security to achieve a

topmost security (Singer, 2014).

The cyber security implementation does not necessarily mean just establishing the and

putting up the firewalls mechanism, but involving the whole team in a step by step

implementation of the mechanism. The firewalls mechanism put in place will just work for a

short period, and the hackers will just find a way in which they can breach the mechanisms and

hacking through the information and data of the individual or the organization. Therefore, the

individuals and business organizations should adopt an effective approach during the

implementation of cybersecurity technique done in a step by step process. This will ensure that

the individual or the organization receives an end results that does not cause any devastating

effects.

There are several steps and guidelines that an organization or an individual should

follow before implementing the cyber security technique plan. For instance, before

implementing the cyber security plan an organization or an individual should be aware of the

threat and risks they are facing which will help them to implement the right cyber security

technique that will offer them the required security measures. After implementing the right

mechanism, a risk management protocol should be built involving the support management

and the committee.

In the process of protecting the data, programs, networks, and information from the

attack or unauthorized access, every individual should resort themselves to software companies

that will provide a relevant information about the level of security and identify various

potentials attacks. After getting the necessary information, the awareness in every individual

should be created on how the individual should use the technique safely and also enhancing

the awareness on individual about various types of cyber risks (Benantar, 2005).

Controlling and managing the mobile data and information is also a crucial process of

keeping the system safe from the threats and attacks. To use this methodology, the individual

should have knowledge and be expert in exporting the data from cloud service or transferring

the data and information form the server.

The cybercrimes always target the individuals and corporate sectors. The cybercrimes

can be further categorized into two categories such as those cybercrimes targeting the system

directly and those cybercrimes is being facilitated by the computer network. The cybercrimes

that aims at the system directly includes those malicious viruses and malwares that spread form

one computer system to another computer system.

Such computer virus includes Denial of attack (DoS) and malwares. DoS is a computer

attack that will make the available resources of the computer system and network get lost and

thus cannot be tracked or accessed by the users. In the Other hand, the malware is asoftware

program that disrupts the normal operation of the computer. In the process, the software

collects sensitive information and gaining access to the private data and information in the

computer.

The cybercrimes facilitated by the computer network are those crimes that involves the

economic fraud and affect those data involved in the networks. Such cybercrimes include

breach on the security policy mail attack or attack on the transaction banking system. Mostly

of these cybercrimes usually involves a computer network on transit.

The advantages of the cybersecurity techniques are that it can protect the individual and

organization data and information digitally and thus ensuring the safety of the individual’s data

and information while using the internet. The cybersecurity also offers a great benefit to the

organization since it protects the data and information of the users in the organization and

increasing the customers trust and confidentiality in using the services of organization since

they are assured of their data and information safe from the attackers (Liu, 2012).

The cyber security also protects the data and information of the individual and thus

increasing the productivity since it will protect against any loss that can be incurred due to

attackers accessing the private data and information of the user of the organization. Also, the

cybersecurity helps in protect the data and information available in the computer from any loss

and thus ensuring that there is a continuous operation of business in the organization.

The cybersecurity technique also has some of the disadvantages. For instance, since

most of the individuals and the organizations views cybersecurity as a top security, most of the

organization will modify the source code and give it to every individual in the organization.

The hackers may take this opportunity to get the source code and carry out illegal activities that

may brought a significant loss in the organization. Also, the organization and individual incur

a significant cost during the implementation of the cybersecurity techniques and firewall

mechanisms.

In conclusion, even though the technology is dynamically changing which leads to a lot

of cybercrimes and attacks on the data, the cybersecurity techniques seems to be an ultimate

solution of protecting the data and information from the hackers and attackers. This has led to

a decrease in the loss incurred by the individuals and organizations due to the cybercrimes and

cyber-attacks.

As you revise, your primary concerns should be clarity and focus. I’m not sure what you

mean by “cybersecurity techniques” because I assume there are a variety of techniques, so

which are you advocating. Be clear from the start that a problem exists, support that problem

with evidence to make reader take it seriously and then offer more detail about the solution

you advocate and the benefits from that solution. Focus each paragraph on a specific main

claim. At this point, overarching message is confusing.
