Introduction These instructions will show you how to create your own YouTube channel from start to finish. Which includes setting up the email associated with the new YouTube account. This task requires only a basic knowledge of computers and web browser navigation. To successfully complete this task you will need a computer with a web browser (such as Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari) and a smartphone, both with internet access.

Step 1. Access YouTube.com
Begin by opening your web browser and typing www.youtube.com into the search bar. This should open a page that looks like the following image:

Step 2. Sign in.
Click sign in on the top right of the screen, this will allow you to start the account making process.

Step 3. Create a Google account.
The following screen will appear.
Now, you will need to create a Google account to begin your YouTube channel.
Click Create Account
Step 4. Enter your basic information.
After clicking Create Account the website will ask for some basic information, including your first and last name.
*If you have access to an existing Google email (Gmail), enter your Gmail into the box that reads “Your email address”. Skip the next step.
Click Create a Gmail account instead.

Step 5. Enter your phone number for verification.
For security purposes, Google will ask you to verify your phone number.
Enter your phone number in the box provided and click next to proceed.
Continue to page 6.

You will receive a text message with a 6-digit verification code; enter the code in the box provided and continue.

Step 6. Provide a Recovery Email.
(Optional) Provide a recovery phone number and/or email for your YouTube account. This email should be different from the email created.
Provide your date of birth and gender.
Click Next.

Step 7. Agree to Google Terms.
Click I agree to continue once you have read and understand Google’s Privacy and Terms.
Continue to Page 9.

Your account is now created.
If you are using YouTube to browse and watch videos, your setup is complete and you now have access to YouTube.com.
To create a channel so you can post your own videos, continue to Step 8.

Step 8. Starting your channel.
Click the icon showing a camera with a plus sign in it in the top right of the screen.
then click upload video...
or click your user image and select Create a channel from the dropdown menu.

Step 9. Get started.
Click Get Started to continue the channel creation process.
Step 10. Naming your channel.
If you would like to create a channel using your real name,
Click Select under the column labeled Use your name. This will use your first and last name as your channel name.
You may now upload content to your newly created channel.
If you would prefer to use a custom name continue to page 12,

To create a custom name,
Click Select under the column labeled Use a custom name.
This will keep your personal identity private. This may be useful for a company or business channel, a channel in which you use an alias, etc.
Continue to step 11. Step 11. Choose an appropriate channel name.
Click Create once you have chosen and entered a channel name.

Step 12. Choose a name to Upload as… Click Create Channel after determining what name you would like to upload as.
Congratulations! You can now upload your first video to your very own YouTube channel!
