Instructions for final paper assignment

One paper from the film Glengarry Glen Ross . This assignment requires you to write an essay on any salient organizational issue raised in the film:

1) Construct a thesis statement – a short (25 words or less) summary statement – that encapsulates your position on the issue. Please bold your thesis statement.

2) In explaining your position make sure you address both the pros and cons of the issue, if applicable.

3) You also need to demonstrate how the movie was the inspiration for your paper.

4) Support your arguments using facts, avoid what you “believe” or “feel”.

5) Make a clear and explicit reference to two concepts that we’ve covered in the course in writing the paper.

6) Include a conclusion summarizing the evidence presented.

7) This assignment should be no shorter than 5 pages. This means 5 pages of text, title page and references don’t count towards the 5 page minimum.

8) This assignment is due via the assignment dropbox on Learn for the Glengarry Glen Ross paper no later than midnight of the day indicated on the course calendar. Please turn in your paper as a Word document.

This paper MUST INCLUDE PROPER CITATIONS. The references themselves can be organized in any fashion. Please see the “Style Guide for Written Assignments” for instructions on all writing assignments.
