With these endpoints determined, you will now develop an action plan to ensure progress toward one of your goals.
While you might take many paths to reach a goal, this week will help you to determine the most efficient and reasonable milestones for you to measure your progress toward one of your goals. Examine the goal you posted in the Week 6 Shared Practice ”on page 3 and 4”.

Week 6 Shared Practice Personal Values discussion:
Personal values are the principles of behavior and they influence our judgement of circumstances in life. The idea of personal values is principal in various fields (Sagiv, L., et al.) and therefore understanding personal values is relevant in understanding human behavior. Identifying and perceiving personal values (Www.facebook.com/brilliantlivinghq, 2018) is significant in how we order our priorities and plan ourselves. It is easier to commit to causes that align with our personal values and principles. Values are important to us because we all feel good when we abide by our value or do things that align with our personal values and underlying principles. Our values are guidance in how we judge and approach situations and the merit of our lives and they make it easier for us to focus on what we believe to matter.
In the personal values survey, my three values happen to include courage, justice and humanity. I selected these from my personal experiences in day to day interactions. For the value of courage, my top principle is persistence. I work really hard to commit to and complete my tasks no matter how hard they may be. I often try to be done with tasks on time and I always try to avoid mistakes while at it. I selected this value and principle respectively because I often participate in activities that may be challenging but manageable that way I can stay on track. Persistence is very important to me since it pushes me to deliver and it also helps me avoid procrastinating. Persistence has also, more than once pulled me up from a failed attempt at a task that I had failed at.
My other top value is justice. Justice gives me the sense of responsibility of equality for anyone around me that may not be on the receiving end of just treatment. Justice is very important because it blends well with both social and work ethics and therefore is all rounded. I often in believe in treating others as one would like to be treated. Among the prominent principles in under this value is fairness. The principle is significant to me it eases my interactions with other members of my community and avoids any possible friction with other people. Being fair to others also persuades others to give me a chance in other situations. My third of the three top values is humanity. Humanity is important because it influences many of my personal interactions with the people around me. It motivates people around me to approach me knowing that I am easy to relate to and therefore enhancing personal relationships. Coexisting is key in societal compactness and helping others whenever possible preserves human integrity. My selected principle under this value is kindness. Kindness involves doing others good while expecting nothing in return. Kindness dwells on being considerate, generous and not belittling those who may be beneath you in hierarchy or otherwise. I like doing well to others whether stranger or a friend. I put myself in other people’s shoes at times when I’m in dilemma to avoid feeling guilty later.
A goal that I have unfolded with persistence in mind is learning a foreign language. Persistence while attempting this goal is important because learning something new is not always easy especially is it is as broad as languages. Persistence will help me while learning because it may get really hard but if I push myself to keep going until the end I am going to achieve this set goal without quitting halfway. Some of the challenges that I expect to come across while striving towards my goal include questioning the need for this, the temptation to quit due to the work involved and laziness from time to time. I intend to overcome these and other potential challenges by looking at the benefits that will come with achieving my goals and planning myself well in order to avoid finding myself overwhelmed. Identifying my personal values and key principles is key to focusing and staying committed to myself and what I stand for.
