Chapter 2

I) For this assignment you will need to write in-depth minimum 200 word reaction to the reading, this is a summary of what you read from chapter 2. It will need to be written double space and include your name, date, and chapter number (this is not included in the 200 word minimum).  It will also need to include 3 provocative questions triggered by your reading at the end of the summary.  Each section is worth 10 points, so make sure to include all three sections. 

II) For this assignment make sure to answer each question thoroughly.  I am looking for well thought out answers so you can get full credit.  Please do not just copy and paste the answers from the book I want to see it in your own words.  There are 3 questions and each is worth 10 points.

1. Explain the Puritan Christian comparison to the Israelite Exodus and state why they believed this and the importance it played in their civil society.

2. Please identify and explain Jerry Falwell's political movement the "Moral Majority" and the role it played in the 1980 elections.

3. What are two things that you found interesting about civil religion be specific in your answer and give examples.

III) We are living in some times where for some are difficult for others it may be time to rest a bit, yet for others it may now be busier. Do you believe that this pandemic time will ever end? What do you believe the "New Normal" will be once this pandemic has passed? Your answer must have a minimum of 50 substantive words
