INSTRUCTIONS: 5-6 PAGES

Step 1 : SELECT AN ARTWORK  HERE (Links to an external site.)  on which you would like to base your final project.  Your artwork must be on Google Arts and Culture.  Why? Because in the absence of in-person looking, the visual possibility afforded by Google is the next best thing. 

Your artwork can be a Sculpture, a Painting, a Building, etc.  As long as it is on GAC AND as long as it is  Western  ( NO Asian, African or Latin American works

please) and  CREATED AFTER 1400 CE , your artwork is fair game.

Intro paragraph, Formal Analysis, Iconography, Iconology, Synthesis, and Bibliography

Step 2 : FIND AN ARTICLE on your artwork on  J-Stor (Links to an external site.) . 

SCHEDULE DUE DATES:

1) Thesis Statement + 3 Sources from J-Stor: JULY 31

2) Thesis Statement and Outline: August 4

3) FINAL Research Paper: August 10
