Create a case study of a couple or family presenting for therapy and an application of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to the case. This will include a description of the case study and presenting issue, a description of assessment procedures, treatment goals, interventions, and cultural consideration, and ethical considerations. Be sure to show how your assessment and treatment follows the protocol for the EFT model. Your submission will include the following components:

· Offer a presentation of the case study that includes couple demographics, dynamics, and a description of the presenting issue.

· Include a description of how you will apply the nine steps of EFT with this case, including the goals, tasks, and interventions at each step. During the first stage of EFT, be sure to discuss how you are reframing the presenting issue in the attachment context and how you would determine if EFT is an appropriate model for the couple. Also discuss how you will know it is time for termination.

· Include a discussion of how you are ensuring your implementation of the model is sensitive to culture, gender, and any other factors in a couple’s background (e.g., trauma)

· Discuss any self-of-the therapist reactions that you would have to manage if you were treating this couple as well as any other ethical concerns that you will consider.
