INSTRUCTIONS:

Appraise: Search the literature for evidence to support a current known procedure or practice in an organizational setting that is used to prevent or minimize the chosen HAI. Each group member should choose a different article and present the findings of that article. Use the Consort criteria checklist (see attachment) to evaluate the research. This checklist can be used even if the research is not a randomized controlled trial (RCT). Simply just omit the steps that relate to an RCT in this case.

Article annotations are provided and highlight the critical points in the chosen articles.

The Consort Criteria checklist is completed for each chosen article and all sections in the article are evaluated according to the criteria. OR A change model is identified and applied in the development of a policy to address the health care problem. The change model is clearly and appropriately utilized in policy implementation and evaluation
