pitch for a tv series or a film (be original and creative) 2-3 pages

My ideal director for the pitch is Christopher Nolan, so you can create a pitch idea based on his style.. or you can pitch any idea you like but please be attractive.

Pitch Structure: Either pitch a TV series or a film.

3 parts: Introduction, Body, and Conclusion

Introduction (2 minutes)

The “hook” or sentence that captures our attention

Concept of project and world the story is in (include format such as 1 hr drama, ½ half 4-camera comedy, horror thriller film, documentary, reality series, etc.)

Breakdown of Characters

Describe your main and supporting characters in no more than 2-3 sentences

§ DO NOT describe more than 4-5 of your characters

§ There HAS to be at least one character of each sex described

Give 2-3 suggestions of actors for each character so that we can envision the role

Rights: If you are adapting any material, you have to mention rights or you cannot pitch that idea!

A smooth transition to the body…

Body (2 minutes)

The progression of your story from A to B to C

If you choose For a TV series:

Pitch the entire pilot episode to us and mention the story trajectories of future episodes or the arc of the first season. After the pilot episode, keep the details short and no more than 1- 2 sentences. DO NOT PITCH THE ENTIRE FIRST SEASON. DO NOT MENTION

ANYTHING BEYOND THE FIRST SEASON. (Ex. In the 20th season, the mother of Ted’s children will finally be named. OMG NO.)

If you choose For a film:

Pitch the story from A to B to C. Be concise and to the point. Describe big plot changes such as the rising action and climax. Do not give us trivial details that do not matter. Please no lengthy descriptions of conversations between characters. JUST THE MAIN PLOT.

Conclusion (2 minutes)

This is where you wrap up everything and mention your research ideas.

For a TV series:

2-3 Network Ideas

2-3 Production company ideas

2-3 Producer ideas for the series

For a film:

Depending on what format you are doing and what your story is about, you may need to include ideas and suggestions that would be considered integral to your pitch.

If your idea heavily involves music, you should mention several ideas for a music supervisor

The same goes for ideas involving dancing or sports where you may need to mention someone specialized in that specialty.

Briefly mention the marketing for the project and the target audience you are aiming for.

Now, you can finally end your pitch with an awe-inspiring message about the importance of the project and why it has to be made. This is the part where you really have to sell your pitch to your audience and the studio/network that is being represented by Danny and me. END STRONG! The last line of my pitch mentioned that the entire concept was inspired by an issue I had personally struggled with.

Main Details:
