Case Analysis

ANALYSIS REQUIREMENTS:

You will be looking at data trends and creating a user input form this week based on the data you selected.  Be sure to download the template for this assignment for additional information.  

1) Download a data set from data.gov.   How to Download from data gov.docx

2) Use Tableau to identify any trends in the data set by creating a bar chart (see video below on how to create a bar chart). Be sure you have some correlation in your chart.  Ex. temperature  and amount of snow fall

3)  Based on the trends you identified design a data input form using Excel's "data entry form" or "user form" that will capture additional information you think is needed based on the trend you identified (see video below on how to create a "form"). Also discuss how this form will improve internal controls as far as the accuracy or consistency of the data. 

 WRITING/PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS:

Write a  3-4 page paper (not including cover page, abstract or references) using the template provided. Use APA 6th ed. formatting. You should have a minimum of two peer reviewed references from the library and/or authoritative references (FASB Codification System, Audit Standards, SOX, COSO, etc.) not including the textbook.
