Assignment: Research Paper Outline and Annotated Bibliography

Details: Your research paper outline is a guide for you to use when writing your research paper. It should include all pertinent details, paraphrases, quotations and data you plan on including. It should also provide the structure for your essay. Additionally, your annotated list of six reliable sources will supplement your observations in your research literary analysis.

Make sure to follow MLA formatting rules (i.e. heading, page number, etc.). Make sure to also format your outline formally, as in the example below:

Research and create a list of at least six reliable sources that are related to the novel and fiction elements you plan to discuss in your research literary analysis. Two of these sources will be your course textbook and the novel you have chosen; the other four must be sources you find using independent research outside of the classroom.

Your submission to Turnitin.com must follow proper Works Cited MLA Formatting rules (i.e. hanging indent, “Works Cited” as the title, heading, page number, last name, etc.).

Research and create an annotated bibliography of at least six reliable sources that are related to the novel and fiction elements you plan to discuss in your research literary analysis. Two of these sources can be your course textbook and the novel you have chosen; the other four must be reliable sources you find using independent research outside of the classroom.

An annotated bibliography includes a summary and evaluation of each source. These annotations are written in paragraph form and for the purposes of this class should include the following information:

1. A summary of the information contained in the source

1. An explanation of how you will use the source in your research paper

1. The academic/intellectual credentials of the source. Who is/are the author(s) and what makes them credible? Does it appear in a peer-reviewed journal? What makes this source reliable?
