Input

Healthcare informatics leaders who include chief health informatics officer (CHIO), play a crucial role in nursing practice. The leader's input is to collect information about clients. The data is used to create nursing strategies to approach the diagnosed patient. The information collected is also communicated with other healthcare providers to conclude the findings and the best treatment approach. CHIO Informatics leaders are advanced in technology models, and they create a platform for other nurses to access vital information with a click of a button. For instance, hospitals and clinics comprise health care providers who have access to private information and critical health records (Dunscombe et al., 2018). The CHIO is responsible for ensuring that the data is secure, and no unauthorized party can access the information. Services that include telehealth provide ways for educating clients, healthcare, and medical providers; the informatics leader is responsible for monitoring the client education, ensuring that other nurses have the required knowledge and skills to carry out their operations. Social media has been widely adopted in the field of health. It is utilized to deliver a means where clients can share their experiences with the services received in several hospitals. They are also able to learn more about their medical conditions on the platform. The CHIO leader has an obligation to make sure that healthcare providers in a specific medical center plan and communicate more effectively. Due to advanced technology, the task is easy with support from collaboration with healthcare providers and clients.

Health information systems focus on managing, storing, transmitting, and capturing information about healthy individuals and activities within the healthcare providing organization. The CHIO incorporates nursing care to deliver information about nursing care practices delivery. The CHIO utilizes the required and enabling skills to search for credible and reliable information about healthcare services (Jones et al.,2017). They assist clients and their families in evaluating and finding credibility and the reliability of online health information.

Transformation

CHIO and other healthcare informatics leaders should portray capacities and establish informatics competencies to deliver meaningful leadership. They should show high integrity levels that could enable them to support the ongoing transformation in the healthcare system. There should be planned staff informatics competencies where the leader should seek to transpire his subordinates to deliver critical principles of transformation and patient safety in practice. The CHIO should create a platform for other nurses to flourish in all environments related to digitalism and technology across the health care sector. There should be advanced evidence-based nursing practices where all the informatics theories are applied according to the hospital's current condition (WALLACE, 2018). Patient safety and security of their data should be the frontline focus and motive to guide the leader and the general healthcare staff. The leader is obligated to transform the healthcare system to a more efficient and dependable aspect through technology and informatics. Electronic health records' global adoption has continued to be embraced, expanding the focus on improving quality and reducing costs. Clinical transformation concepts should be applied by the informatics leader to achieve the organization's goals. He should have the capability. The leader should transform the records to data that is easily and widely available to other individuals. There should be a continuous and assessed improvement in how patients care and client records are delivered at all the organizational care delivery levels. The healthcare informatics leader should advise the management to ignore all the inefficient and less productive strategies and adopt new ones to record significant results. The outcomes from the clinical level and quality healthcare are achieved by effective design of IT implementation. Clinical and informatics transformation processes should happen across all the departments, facilities, and clinical fields of expertise.

Output

The chief healthcare informatics officers are mandated to implement technology in healthcare systems. For instance, telemedicine is one of the outputs delivered from the implementation of technology and informatics. The informatics discipline has recorded outrageous success in increasing access to services and improving wellness, even in rural areas. The solution fits perfectly with the current generation dominated by the youth population and individuals who are technology literates. Advancement in informatics provides the answers that empower healthcare providers and their respective clients. The informatics and technology leader is responsible for providing organization leaders with immediate access to all the critical information. The data assists them in planning and providing efficient and safe services. The technology in informatics also helps organizations reach their clients in remote areas and thus fulfill community health requirements. The providers are in the apposition to maintain legible and accurate data related to patient conditions and reduce errors in their practice, such as conflicting prescriptions (Booth, 2016). Technology has created a platform where it is easier to share health information with other care providing organizations to enable them to make timely, and evidence-based-informatics has changed how organizations operate. Today, it is possible for healthcare firms to extrapolate meaningful data from immeasurable data stores. Technology has also led to a reduction of wastes related to healthcare waste derives. Informatics technology is implemented to streamline the organizations' operations and save on medical facilities, costs, and operations. Technology is also crucial since it allows organizations to execute faster diagnostics and thus saving the overall cost to be incurred by patients. The pain and discomfort, as well as recovery time, are reduced by the application of modern technological treatment approaches.
