Due to the virus arising from china, a lot of cab drivers in NYC are afraid/discriminating against many Asian people. They believe that they could possibly acquire the virus from one of the Asian rideshare. Stated in the article, “Meanwhile, a second cabbie — who is from mainland China himself — told The Post that he is no longer picking up any fares at JFK Airport due to concerns about contagion” (NY post). This shows you that Asians are getting discriminated from not only from a different race but their own community. Multiple incidents have occurred to Asian communities.
