Title |
How Artificial Intelligence Is Changing the World |
General Purpose |
To inform |
Specific Purpose: To inform about (your topic) |
To inform my audience about how artificial intelligence is transforming industries, daily life, and the future of employment. |
Main Idea (Thesis) {example: “ At the end of my speech, my audience will be more aware of… (your topic in a nutshell.”} |
Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming industries, improving everyday life, and reshaping the future workforce. |
Introduction
Attention Getting Material (Start with an “attention getter” to draw the audience in to your topic. You have many options to choose from to gain interest from the audience.) |
I. Artificial intelligence is no more a science fiction since it has already changed a lot of things in the contemporary society. Voice assistants on phones and self-driving vehicles and automated health care systems are just the beginning of AI playing a significant role in human life. The importance of artificial intelligence lies in the fact that it has an impact on the technologies we use every day, such as smartphones, online resources, and health care. Today, I am going to discuss what artificial intelligence is, the way it is changing industries and even ways how it is influencing the future of jobs. |
Orienting Material |
II. A. (Sentence to disclose the subject matter) Today, I would like to comment on the ways artificial intelligence is transforming the world. B. (Sentence to determine relevance) This issue is important as artificial intelligence already has an impact on numerous spheres in our life, such as education, healthcare, transportation, and business. C. (Sentence to prove credibility) To learn more about the mechanism of artificial intelligence, as well as how specialists think that it is going to change our future, I conducted some research into technology and economic literature. D. E. D. (Your thesis statement) F. Artificial intelligence is changing the world of industries, making life better, and defining the future labor force. |
Preview (Give a preview of your main points. Be brief and simple, but this “road map will help the audience know what to expect from your speech.) |
To start with, I will provide the definition of artificial intelligence and their functionality. Second, I will comment on the way artificial intelligence is changing the world of healthcare and business. Lastly, I will describe the role of artificial intelligence and its impact on employment and the future workforce.
Transition (Segue way to your first main point.) Think of your speech like a conversation or story.) |
Having seen the relevance of artificial intelligence, it is high time that we started by examining what artificial intelligence is. |
Body
Main Point #1 |
Artificial intelligence can be defined as computer systems that are meant to execute the functions that are conventionally carried out by human brains. |
Support Material |
Artificial intelligence enables computers to acquire knowledge using masses of data and enhance its performance as time goes on. Russell and Norvig (2021) also note that artificial intelligence systems replicate the human reason, learning, and problem-solving skills and are based on algorithms and machine learning. Artificial intelligence is already present in most used tools. Siri and Alexa are voice-assistants that apply artificial intelligence to interpret verbal instructions and respond in a productive way.
Recommendation systems are also based on artificial intelligence and are applied to websites such as Netflix and Amazon, which empowers itself through user behavior and proposes a movie or product according to individual preferences. These illustrations demonstrate that artificial intelligence has already infiltrated the life of millions of people. |
Transition (Move to your next point. Remember, FLOW! Your speech should ease from point to point.)
At this point, when we have the meaning of artificial intelligence, we can consider how the system is changing the key industries. |
Main Point #2 |
II Healthcare, transportation, and business are some of the industries that are being transformed by artificial intelligence. |
Support Material |
Artificial intelligence in healthcare assists physicians in the analysis of medical data and prevents the identification of the disease at an earlier stage. Topol (2019) notes that AI systems are able to analyze medical images and patient documents to assist physicians in diagnosing more correctly. Transport is also getting better with the use of artificial intelligence. Self-driving technology involves vehicles that have AI systems to scan the road conditions, road traffic, and road obstacles. Artificial intelligence is also helping businesses make decisions and become productive. Brynjolfsson and McAfee (2017) indicate that some of the applications of AI include analyzing the behavior of customers, making forecasts about the market, and automating routine activities in companies. Through these advances, organizations are also able to be more efficient and offer improved services. |
Transition (Move to your next point. Remember, FLOW! Your speech should ease from point to point.)
Despite the numerous advantages of artificial intelligence, it is also transforming the operations of people and the kind of employment that will be enjoyed in the future. |
Main Point #3 |
III The future of employment and jobs is being transformed by artificial intelligence. |
Support Material |
A. Artificial intelligence is capable of automating the routine tasks, which used to be done by people. 1. Frey and Osborne (2017) suggest that automation could take away many jobs that can be characterized by repetitive or predictable undertakings in the future. 2. Nevertheless, artificial intelligence also introduces new professions within the field of data science, robotics, artificial intelligence engineering, and cybersecurity. B. The scholars assume that training and learning will play a crucial role in equipping professionals with skills needed to work in an AI-driven economy. According to the World Economic Forum (2023), although automation is possible as an alternative to the jobs, in the next few years, millions of new jobs connected to technology will be established.

Transition (Move to your next point. Remember, FLOW! Your speech should ease from point to point.) |
After discussing the impact of artificial intelligence on industries and jobs, we shall look at the main remarks of the current speech. |
Conclusion
Summary (Include a brief summary of your main points. Don’t add new information.)
I.Today I shared the definition of artificial intelligence, its revolution in the healthcare and business industry, and how it is redefining the future workforce. |
Clincher (Add a final thought to close out your speech.)
II Artificial intelligence is among the strongest technologies that are transforming the present-day world, and by learning about it, we will be in a better position to be ready to the prospects and challenges that are going to come in the future. |
