1. Business Statement: GG Freightways is a regional transportation and distribution company located in the United States, with its Headquarters office based in Los Angeles, CA. The company has been in operation for over 30 years, through which it has achieved a lot of successes and achievements along the way. The GG Freightways corporation has 8 warehouses/terminals that serve as the pickup points for fleets transporting goods to their clients. These warehouses are located in different cities across the United States. In addition, the company 2 maintenance facilities that provide services to the fleet of trucks that provide transport and distribution services. The total annual gross revenue of GG Freights corporation adds to $35 million, which is a true exhibit of the success achieved by the company. The company's current economic climate is stable, making 6% profit annually, with its future financial goals expected to increase to 8%, reducing 8% in the total operating cost.
2. Business Strategic Objectives: GG Freightways corporation is an independent company focused on providing efficiency in service delivery to their clients. Through that, the board meeting by the management team proposed a strategic business plan that is expected to meet the organization's growth and cost goals. The following table discusses the GG Freightways goals and objectives.

The management team proposed developing a system that will provide tracking services of all freights in the terminal and on trucks. The tracking will help in the provision of accurate delivery dates and times to its clients. |

Improving the percentage of the loaded miles in the company’s fleet |
The management team saw it necessary to improve on the percentage of the loaded miles to their fleet. This objective will help in reducing the costs of transport between two different pickup stations. The company will achieve this objective by coordinating the pickup and delivery of the freight at the same time in the same location. |

Provision of warehouse services to their customers. |
GG Freightway's general goal is to improve service delivery to its customers. The management team proposed providing warehouse services to clients who want to minimize delivery time to their customers. This objective also focuses on having products available locally for quicker local delivery. |

The safety of transport vehicles is a requirement that should be upheld in every transport company. The GG Freightways management team should consider implementing this federal requirement to ensure the safety of every vehicle is checked every 10,000 miles. This requirement will ensure transport goods are availed to clients safely and with the stipulated time. |
3. IT Mission and IT Vision Statements
a. Information Technology Mission: The Information Technology mission in GG Freightways corporation is to build a comprehensive and quality technology infrastructure that will help establish and maintain an effective operational environment in the organization. This infrastructure will help provide quality, cost-effective, and reliable services to the organization.
b. Information Technology Vision: The vision of the Information Technology team is focused on developing a technology infrastructure that is desired by the organization for the future success of the company. The vision will be achieved by developing and deploying Information Technology practices that will provide effective service delivery. The Chief Information Officer must create the vision of the Information Technology department in collaboration with their business partners.
4. IT Governance: IT governance is the responsibility of the Board of Directors and executive management. It is an integral part of enterprise governance and consists of the leadership and organizational structures and processes that ensure that the organization’s IT sustains and extends the organization’s strategy and objectives
a. Participants: the participants involved in the IT Governance include; IT Department, Board of Directors, the executive management, organization stakeholders, and business partners.
b. Their roles and responsibility: each participant in IT Governance is tasked with roles and responsibilities that must be achieved for the organization's success. 1). The IT Department should ensure that all information and technology systems are maintained and in their full functioning state. 2). The Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the organization's general operations and providing the required leadership duties expected by the organization. This also applies to executive management and the organization stakeholders of the organization. 3). The business partners, who include suppliers and customers, have the responsibility to provide governance feedback to help in reinforcing the organization's policies.
c. Governance methodology: IT Governance should implement the ISO 38500 Standard as the methodology for effective governance. This standard applies to all organizations that use IT in its operation. It ensures that all IT systems are effective, efficient in service delivery, and used appropriately as expected by the organization. This standard will help in system management in GG Freightways company.
d. General responsibilities and IT Project prioritization: the IT Governance is expected to follow all guidelines to ensure all projects are completed with the stipulated time and allocated resources. Prioritization of the projects is a key factor the IT Governance should consider. The criteria that can be deployed to manage project prioritization include; The estimated Return of Investment of the project, the number of resources required by the project, the number of strategic goals achieved by the project, and the financial risks involved in the project.
5. Inventory of Current IT Systems
The GG Freightways transport and distribution company has several IT systems that ensure operations of the organization are performed as required. The systems include both completed systems and systems that its development process is underway. The following table discusses the inventory of the current IT systems in GG Freightways company.
