Individual Project 1
Annotated Bibliography: 20 points
Due Date: October 3, 2018
This assignment provides you with an opportunity to see what threats related to information security are current and relevant to your own special interests. It serves as a future resource and learning tool.
Prepare an annotated bibliography on a specific, focused subtopic related to Information Security. Examples of subtopics might be: data breaches of confidential information, data corruption, data ransom, or network platform failure.
Strive to narrow your topic so that your articles address a very specific area. Your annotated bibliography might utilize the Internet/Web, magazines and journals, books, reports, audiovisual sources, etc. It should be 3-5 pages, double spaced, and provide between 5 and 8 annotated bibliography entries, in PDF format. Please note that the annotated bibliography should always begin with a short statement saying why you selected the topic or focus for your bibliography. For example, it might say, "I chose to focus my annotated bibliography on data breaches of confidential information because my parents had their social security numbers and credit card information stolen and have spent months trying to repair their credit record."
An annotated bibliographic reference consists of the following:
1. A citation for the resource. (Name, location, publisher, author, etc. ... use MLA guidelines, APA Guidelines or Chicago Guidelines on how to cite regular and electronic sources. Please note, you can choose MLA or APA or Chicago, but use the one you pick throughout the entire assignment.)
2. A brief summary and analysis; two to three paragraphs outlining purpose, organization, target audience, reliability, timeliness (is it up to date), and comprehensiveness.
