Discussion, thoughts, ideas and comments concerning information governance
Information governance entails the holistic methodology to managing the information of a particular company by employing processes, controls, metrics as well as roles which treat information as an asset that is most valuable in a business or company (Rouse M., & Cole B., 2018). The holistic approach which is applied to information governance is due to the fact that it makes available the information assets to the people who may require it when they will be streamlining management, reducing the costs of storage as well as guaranteeing compliance. One of the important goals of information governance is usually to provide the employees of a company with data which they can trust and access easily while making business decisions (Rouse M., & Cole B., 2018).
The principles of information governance have been progressing as well as expanding. For a person to consider an information governance program to be successful, it must be capable to be characterized by the following multiple principles for the information governance. They include; for executive sponsorship, information integrity, control of information, for continuous improvement, for consultation with stakeholders, accessing information, information governance monitoring and auditing together with information security. These principles are the foundation of the best practices and thus should be intended for the information governance approach.
