Week Eight Written Assignment:

 

Activities can be legal but yet the activities are still viewed by many as unethical/immoral.  This is not a new phenomenon.  Your assignment is to discuss in 3 pages the following:

 

Through history there are laws in our country that have been repealed based on their immorality.

What laws exist today, and you believe are immoral?

Indicate in your paper: 

1.  What was the original(stated) purpose of the law and/or its justification for its enactment,

2. What social forces are indicating the need for their repeal; and

3. How likely do you believe these laws will be repealed and why? Be specific in your discussion about the elements of the law(s) and what makes them immoral (the actual law or the execution of the law).  Also be specific about the social forces impacting these laws.
