Campus Networks has created Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) to isolate segments of the network. This limits the scope of damage that can done.

Terms • Dive number

Every dive has a unique number assigned by FINA (e.g. 301A, 201B). Each dive number corresponds to a degree of difficulty.

• Balk When a diver stops a dive after obviously beginning execution.

• Reps The number of times a diver practices a single dive.

• RedCap Survey tool used for gathering subject research data provided by UITS Research Computing.

• 10M Impact Restrictions on how often a diver should dive from a 10M platform.

So we have the data

1. An intern exports the data from Sideline Scout and Redcap

2. Makes sure it’s “clean”

3. Uploads it to an in-house web site I wrote (https://athletics.Indiana.edu/Watson/)

4. Download the data set desired, then push it to IBM’s Watson.

5. Watson DEMO!

Diving

• Watson as, an end-user product, has been discontinued.

• We’re in the process of evaluating other data analytics products, but I can tell you what we were able to do:

• Predictive scoring – Drew got pretty good at guessing what divers would score based on training data

• Peak performance days – What day was likely to be a good day and train to hit those days on meets.
