Discussion 1 Every business organization is facing the challenges of cyberattacks and implementing different security mechanisms to prevent it in the operational environment. These security measures will help in preventing the data from hackers and impose confidentiality, availability and integrity factors. Business requires an effective communication path to transfer the data content among different parties. Cyber-attacks are caused in countries like India, the United States, Canada, in the year 2011 and loss of its huge reputation along with the sensitive data (Peterson, 2018). A business organization with high technological aspects also impacted these cyberattacks in society. Most of the large corporations consider data as a treasure and perform various operations, functionalities to accomplish the goals and mission (Smallwood, 2020). antivirus applications are sued in the system to detect the annoying things happening on the company data. Every company stores sensitivity data on their systems and continue to perform their business operations. These systems can be hacked by the third party with new advanced technologies and steal sensitive data. By this, the financial status of the company and its fame can be decreased. Even a country can suffer from the impacts of cyber threats. Controlling and managing the data operations with advance security characteristics will assist in more successful outcomes. The hacking is done in the military sectors, large corporations, government policies and gathers the data by introducing an intruder into their system network. Sometimes they use the phishing method in hacking the data. The information security team will assist in the usage of anti-virus software in the system to reduce the cyber-attacks and other data Breaches. The loss of data can impact the economic conditions of the data (Thuraisingham, 2018). References Peterson, R. R. (2018). Discussion 2 Information privacy and security is key to any organization or public institution as it holds the trust of the customers, clients, public etc. while delivering the products and services. With the advancements in the technology and growth of using internet on the mobile phones for day to day activities , the attackers can easily access the private or personal information related to the companies or customers which can lead to severe economic loses to an organization or individuals and companies may have to face legal issues from the customers. Organization must establish proper mechanisms and data privacy policies to secure the internal information in confidential documents, email conversations etc. Some of the data breaches cannot be identified at the time attack unless proper security control monitors and firewalls are in place, for example 72 organizations globally including the United Nations, governments and corporations were hacked for over five years and this was not discovered until 2011 by security experts at Intel/McAfe. United States, Canada, India, other corporations like high-tech companies, defense contractors, the International Olympic Committee and the United Nations are some of the targeted victims. Data breach at an institution can create huge negative impact financially and lose of customer trust and eventually leading to business closure along legal punishments. The information assets of companies and governments are required to be secure to mitigate the risk of cyber intrusions and hence the Information governance polices are required to establish and enforce the data security regulations. There are several cases with the insider threat where a malicious employee can breach the data security to expose the information and this is very dangerous compared to the outsider attacks, to avoid this trust and regulations are not sufficient, companies must invest in risk education and IG training to reduce the data leaks by continuously monitoring and auditing the data activities of employees.
