Midterm Assessment

• Individual task • You will write a case study analysis. • The objective of the assignment is to provide an opportunity to gain an understanding of the complexities and challenges of managing a B2B company. • You are to examine the company situation and based in your findings and on the content in the course material and other reference sources, you will

evaluate three different courses of action and then choose the one you find more appropriate. • Expected table of contents:

o Company’s main problem: you are to examine the situation in depth and undertake a situation analysis. o Three possible courses of action: you are to propose three alternative courses of action for the company, in order to face the problem

described, with their benefits (at least three) and weaknesses (at least three) o Recommended solution: You are to recommend one of the three alternatives previously considered as the one that should be implemented by

the company in order to face the situation described in the case study provided. • Your paper will be graded based on the explanation of each alternative course of action, with its benefits and risks or weaknesses, and the reason why

you recommend a specific course of action and how you manage to face the weaknesses of this choice. Additionally, your ability to apply concepts from the literature to your analysis, with proper citation of articles and books.

• The task should be submitted in a document form uploaded as pdf.

Formalities:

• Wordcount: 2500-3000 words • Cover, Table of Contents, References and Appendix are excluded of the total wordcount. • Font: Arial 12,5 pts. • Text alignment: Justified. • The in-text References and the Bibliography have to be in Harvard’s citation style.

Deadlines & Submission Policy: Week 7 – Via Moodle (Turnitin) before November 22nd, at 23:59 CET • Late submissions without approved mitigating circumstances may result in one of the following penalties: • Work submitted until November 24th at 14:00 CET, will be marked and feedback will be provided. However, the grade will be capped at 70%. • Work submitted after November 24th, at 14:00 CET, will not be marked and will receive the final grade ‘0’.

Weight: This task is a 40% of your total grade for this subject.
