for brilliant answer

“Long take” is an audacious and brilliant book. Poetry needn’t to be call in action but this raises many questions.

In Chungking Express, the Chinese woman with a blond wig working as a drug-pusher was to transport drugs to her boss. However, drug mules who carried those drugs disappeared at the airport. The long take captures the Chinese woman and the drug mules arriving at the airport, then the drug mules leaving, and finally the anxiety of the Chinese woman when losing track of those drug mules. When the camera switches to the front view, we could see the facial impression of the Chinese woman, which is angry, worrying and anxious. On the other hand, we could feel that she was hesitating about the situation because she was disturbed. Through fixed location of camera, we could see the storyline thoroughly and clearly.

In Kahaani, some great long takes are presented throughout the film. To illustrate, the scene where Mrs. Bagchi was being followed by Bob who was about to murder her. At this point, long take is taken into place that shows a significant idea of how to show a scene through a third person perspective focusing on Mrs. Bagchi because the main focus of the long-take scene creates a surrounding atmosphere around her. Therefore, when the camera moves in front of her it shows a different view where she was in fear and running away from a situation instead of just walking by it when viewing from behind. Yet, on the side it is where the action happens that Bob is pulling out a gun and pointing forward at Mrs. Bagchi. Even though it shows only a hand, a gun and a backpack, we can tell by the long take signals a certain prompt. In this case, Mrs. Bagchi and Bob.
