Read the following case study and answer the following questions. (100 marks adjusted to 10%) Word Count – Approximately 500 words

1. Discuss the reasons why British Airways had become a very successful airline by the mid-1990s. (20 marks)

2. Critically evaluate the statement that the decline in British Airways’ fortunes in recent years is solely because of adverse changes in the business environment of airlines, worldwide. (20 marks)

3. Economic downturn and the introduction of low-cost airlines were affecting the profitability of British Airways. Discuss the product and pricing strategic options that British Airways could choose to take and decide which you think would be best, explaining why you think so. (30 marks)

4. Critically evaluate the major airline alliance, noting its strengths and weaknesses. (20 marks)

 Late assignment submissions will result in a penalty.
