My choice of India for this project is due to its great diversity in various aspects of life, thus contains a vast pool of knowledge for study as desired.

Geographical elements of India (Central Intelligence Agency, 2019)

Location

India is located in the southern parts of Asia.

Access to water

Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and the Arabian sea.

Border Countries

Bhutan, Burma (Myanmar), China, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal

Nature and climate

Northern and central Indian parts experience dry conditions during the winter as a result of the Cooling winds that blow from the Himalaya mountains. Southern and Arabian coastline experience relatively balanced conditions throughout the year which are hot humid and sunny. Most parts of the country experience hot winds blowing from the Indian ocean during the months of spring. During the summer, the country largely receives heavy rainfall resulting from the monsoon.

Composition of India (Central Intelligence Agency, 2019)

Levels of literacy

74.04% national literacy level

Urbanization

31.16% urban population

Pollution in cities

Kanpur, Faridabad, Varanasi

Religious distribution

Hindu (79.8%), Muslim (14.23%), Christians (2.3%), Sikhists (1.72%), Budhism9(0.70%), , Others (0.9%) Jainism (0.37%)

Expenditure on education.

3.8% of GDP is spent on education.

Age distribution

0-14 (27.78%), 15-64 (66.23%), 65+ (5.99%)

India has a vast population which is largely productive hence production in India is very likely. Huge population as well impacts the cost of labor hence the setting up of factories and industries is appealing. The vast coastline as well as access to large water bodies would boost shipping. The risk with the India is the low literacy levels in comparison to world averages hence possibilities of political instability fronted by ethnic distributions.
