  • This illustrates the importance of using social media in the contemporary community.
  • It helps in driving the reason for communication and social engaging of employees.

Introduction

  • The workplaces have different polices such as code of conduct, ethical consideration and user access agreements in terms of policies.
  • These policies are only possible through the communication platform created by social media and its resources such as sharing and engaging employees.
  • Therefore, there is the need for developing and increasing employees interactions through the application of social media.
  • Social media in the workplace has its benefits and challenges. The benefits helps to achieve a better framework to increase and improve communication in the workplace and among employees.

Recruitment

  • The social media has been applied in the modern workplaces and by employers as a platform for recruiting and finding qualified employees.
  • It is important and essential to focus on the value of information as gained through operations.
  • To control operations one consider the social media such as integrative workplaces and technologies to improve employees and qualification.
  • It is an opportunity for employers to use social media as a marketing tool for attracting new employees.
  • Social media helps in information dissemination especially job opportunities.

Building Employee Engagement

  • Employers have integrated social media to their virtual networks.
  • This has helped in crating social groups for employees and enabling employees to fully understand and communicate about the importance of local working and engaging consumers.
  • Through social media interactions, it helps to open communication which helps employees with a common platform to engage one another.
  • More so, it helps to improve and increase the general resources such as meeting the information dissemination regarding positive relations while sharing with fellow employees.

  • Companies with employee integrative technologies such as in their virtual environments helps in collection of information.
  • Employees sometimes use their social media as a platform for brainstorming on issues affecting the company.
  • For employees social media becomes a resource for collecting different employees opinions regarding operational effectiveness.
  • It becomes a resource used by the company in terms of developing and increasing resource sharing such as improvement and operational effectiveness.

  • Sometimes work with no play makes jack a dull boy. There is the need of using social media as a break time resources.

  • In conclusion, the benefits of social media include: as a tool for employee recruitment, building employee engagement, communication, strategic decision making, as a basis for collecting business intelligence and used a platform for sharing and learning.
  • Its main limitations include: data wastage, insecurity issues such as sharing of confidential information and time wastage.
  • Also these challenges, social media integration into the modern community has changed the way and manner in which employees and employer use social media in the community.
