Proposed Activity

My proposed plan is to schedule online zoom meetings which will involve both parent and the children. This program will involve the activities that parents and children can do together in order to improve their bond as well as their relationship. Each day we will have a specific activity that will be done by the individuals. These activities will as well be of academic benefit to the students and the parents will have a better understanding of the students. Parents will learn on how to treat their children and have a chance to learn about their preferences. Children will as well have the ability to learn about the aspects that their parents like. I will act as the guide on the activities that they will carry out in order to maintain uniformity and organization. In addition I will post these videos in my you tube channel.

Background information

After school tutorials for students and parents are essential programs which have a major impact on the students as well as the parents. These programs aid in clarifying aspects taught in school which were a bit tough for the student. Majorly they will aid in enhancing the relationship between the students and their parents since they will have a chance to do things together and learn new things about one another (American Federation of Teachers, 2010). This is essential since it may aid in enhancing the performance of the learners in school and also their attitude towards their parents.

How the students were involved

In order to come up with an effective plan, we considered the preferences of the students. I ensured that the plan incorporated these expectations. I identified the learners’ expectations by completing a peer observation; identifying the performance as well as the progress of the learners; and listening to what the students need. Lastly I would reflect on and gain insight into the expectations of the learners (Hill-Jackson, Hartlep, & Stafford, 2019).

People that will participate in the actvity

Since the afterschool tutorial are online, each parent and student has a chance to take part in the activity. Any parent and student that wishes to take part in the activity can log in to zoom meetings where we will be holding our meetings. They can as well log in to our YouTube channel where I will be positing the videos if one may wish to watch later on.

People that will benefit

Students, and parents will benefit effectively from the activity. Students will have a better understanding on the aspects taught in school since the tutorials will at times involve the topic taught in class. Parents and students will have a better relationship with their kids.

Expected Outcomes

The expected outcomes of the after school tutorials will be to improve the relationship between the students and the parents. There will have the ability to do things together which will enable them to build their relationship. In addition, we hope on ensuring that the students have a better understanding of the aspects taught in school.
