Importance of Mission and Vision Statements

Mission and vision statements are developed by organizations to tell the general public and their stakeholders what the organization’s goals are for their business, why those are their goals, and how they will reach their goals. Part 1 of this assignment will help you understand the importance of mission and vision statements, while Part 2 allows you to research different mission and vision statements developed by health care organizations.

Part 1

Write a 260 words on the importance of mission and vision statements to organizations in which you:

· Describe the process an organization uses to develop their mission and vision statement.

· Explain internal and external stakeholders involved in the process of developing the organization’s mission and vision statements.

· Discuss the roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders.

· Explain how the mission and vision is foundational to strategic planning in a health care organization.
