Due through Canvas before the start of the exam on December 13

Carefully craft responses to two of the following prompts. Your responses may follow any format (MLA, Chicago, etc.) and should include quotations directly from the relevant texts as well as cited references to specific moments in the texts. Each response should be roughly 750 words (longer is fine).

• Choose a text we have read and compare it to the Daodejing. What are some potentially Daoist moments in that other text you have chosen? Are there any moments in the text that are not particularly Daoist?

• Choose two texts we have read so far and analyze the ways they portray human nature. Is human nature good, bad, or something else, according to the texts you have chosen? Which text makes the most persuasive argument, in your opinion?

• Out of all the texts we have read this semester, which one do you think Socrates would have liked the best, and why?
