I DISCUSSION:

My experience in this course was very good. My reason is I had a lot of exercises to better myself. what I found important that we had a lot of work to do on excel. As we should know our world is moved into computers and application's. This class gave that experience for it. I found it helpful to work on the following: figuring out which company would be better to choose, by comparing the company's records. looking at the income statement, balance sheet, then determine the WACC, cash flows, discount rate, NPV, IRR, weight average & cost of capital. All these activities we did was not easy at all. For me personally it was very difficult to find out how to do most of the assignments, took a lot of time. But that’s how the experience is build. I personally also believe in that there should be more classes on excel prior to this class. You professor did a amazing job teaching/explaining. But as the whole school they should educate more on these subjects using excel properly, give more practice. 

     As one of my majors is finance. The work that was done in this class would have a great benefit and experience in the real world. Most jobs after school in a finance major will be a analysis. Everything in this class will be needed to fill in the job. Figuring out everything I mentioned earlier example WACC, cash flow, NPV etc. Even if you have your own business all this information will help you in your business where you stand financially. Also, if you go work in a corporation and they present you data, you will be able to read it.

II DISCUSSION:

In this course, I had a fantastic experience studying about a variety of topics and cases. Overall, my experience was incredible. I enjoyed that we had a lot of work to complete, and it encouraged me to learn more about the many topics. This course required me to perform both group and solo work, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It is useful as real-life experience because many firms demand employees to work individually or in groups. The case studies taught me a lot about different companies, how they function, and how they solve challenges. In order to learn more effectively, I feel that exposure to real-world content is critical. It provides us a greater understanding of the situation and shows us how the problem was addressed or what the repercussions were. Learning or writing alone will not assist you but presenting your work in front of intelligent people will. It's a fantastic habit to have someone else go at your work and provide comments, and this class made sure that all of these techniques of successful learning were used.It became more difficult as time went on, but I became more satisfied as I figured out how to get around it. Adapting to a new way of learning is challenging, but the benefits of being more knowledgeable outweigh the difficulties. It was wonderful to be able to apply some of the principles I'd learned in class to a real-world project I was working on at the time. The opportunity to process one idea in the "reality" prompted me to seek for new methods to use the other ideas I had studied.
