Client profile
Our client the B street theater first opened its doors in 1986 as a touring theater for children. Over the years, as it has grown in popularity, it has outgrown its current location. A new building is being built at Capital and 27th Street and will be California’s first year round, fully professional theatre for children. Our design firm has been hired to design the stairwell and the upper level restrooms.

Design concept
To keep with the feel of the overall building design, we chose to do a modern design that incorporates elements of drama and whimsy.

Summary
The B Street Theatre project included creating a functional and ADA compliant stairwell and restrooms for both men and women. We have designed a space that meets the needs of being accessible to all as well as esthetically cohesive with the overall design of the theatre.
