Identity Management Issues
Security concerns, along with compliance and sensitivity, are one of the most significant
barriers to cloud adoption (Cisco, 2012). At the core of a secure IT system is a set of
strong identity and access management initiatives (Chickowski, 2013).
When an organization implements cloud services, those services don't control themselves;
sound policies, procedures, and role-based access systems are still required (Chickowski,
2013). To ensure the safety of sensitive information and to ensure that resources and
information is being used appropriately, it is critical that organizations carefully monitor
and control which users are accessing which resources (Howarth, 2014).
