MENTORING

As a young person, finding the right individual to serve as a mentor is very important in defining the direction one develops, since mentors assist in guiding and advice on crucial life-defining matters. My mentor’s name is Abdullah AL Qassim, a professional in the marketing discipline, who works at the Ways Company. He is the founder of the organization, whereby, he used his creativity to revolutionize the marketing department of the company. I found it necessary to get mentorship from Abdullah so that he can help me to understand the future possibilities and reflect on them as I develop my capabilities.

I find Abdullah being very passionate and creative in all his endeavors, which makes him an intellectual individual anyone would love to work with. I chose him to be my mentor for his visionary trait in pursuing a prosperous future, which is also a capability I highly seek. Being able to assess future possibilities and come up with creative approaches towards being successful is one of my primary goals. The dedication I see in Abdullah inspires me to pursue a discipline I am passionate about just as he is about marketing. I have seen the way he believes in his passion from the time when he went to Boston to continue with his studies. Furthermore, his character and beliefs make him a very appealing mentor for a young person such as myself.

I hope to gain self-discipline from my experience being mentored by Abdullah so that I can grow in the right manner. Progress is significant to me; thus, I have to make measured development according to his guidance. Frequent contact with him through Skype will enable me to find out whether I am developing at the right rate. From this experience, I hope to grow into the professional swiftly I aspire to be by setting my priorities right and being passionate about all my endeavors in life. Due to the current geographical distance, my next meeting with him is going to be on Skype until we are in the same location when I get back from abroad.
