List and discuss 5 ITS technologies that can make driving safer.

Problem 2: ITS

The two images below were discussed in the ITS lecture. Identify what form of communication is

shown in each and briefly discuss.

Problem 3: Modal Administration

If you were a Transportation Planner and were asked to provide a recommendation for funding the

transit system in Mobile County, what would it be and why? Please refer to the modal administration

lecture and accompanying audio file on Google Drive.

Problem 4: Freight Transportation

Based on the lecture on Freight Transportation, make a brief comparison between air, rail, road, and

marine modes of Freight Transportation. Some items to consider in your discussion are the size and

volume of shipments, distance between trip origin and destinations, mode shares and types of goods

shipped.
