FORMAT :   

Must be done in MS WORD (no pdf files).

Contact info and headline are single spaced ( as shown on the bottom of the example sheet ).

Body copy of press release is single spaced.

ASSIGNMENT :  

Write a press release, which should be 450-600 words in length.

Pick a musical event, CD release, music DVD release or TV special

involving an up and coming artist of your choice. 

 

Press release should include all important information, and at least 2 quotes from artist and 2 quotes from critics relating to the subject matter discussed.

Examples of quotes ( note that these are just examples and not actual quotes ):

1. Artist : “This is my best song/album so far” -- Nick Jonas

2. Critics: “A truly remarkable art piece” -- New York Times

 

Information and artist quotes can be pulled from various sources such as the internet, but plagiarism and exact copying will not be tolerated. I will be checking Wikipedia and artists sites for this.
