1. For the circuit shown below find the equivalent resistance seen by the source. Calculate the power
delivered by the source.
2. Determine the voltage Vab (with polarity) in the circuit shown below. Calculate the currents
through R1 and R2 indicating the direction too.
3. Use Ohm’s Law, KVL and KCL to calculate the value of the source current IS. The current i
through the 4 resistor is 1A.
4. In the circuit shown below, determine the voltage across the current source (across the points A and B).
5. Find the equivalent resistance looking in at terminals a and b if
a) terminals c and d are open
b) and if terminals c and d are shorted together.
6. Using the node voltage analysis method calculate the voltage at node ‘a’ and the current through the
resistor R2.
7. Calculate the voltages V1 and V2 using the node analysis method. Write the nodal equations for both nodes 1 and 2. Solve the linear equations to obtain V1 and V2.
8. Using node voltage analysis, determine the currents ia and ib in the circuit shown here.
