This is part of a paper, I am currently just responsible for the SWOT analysis section . Focus on that.

SWOT analysis on HVA

Website: https://hvatoday.org

Make a chart / graph of the swot.

Then make paragraphs describing each and backing it up.

· Here is a basic of the swot in bullet point format that I did with my group.

However, do not list all of this on the graph. The graph can just state the main thing, or something that sums it all up. After the chart, describe and get into detail about it . Be sure to explain.

· References should be cited within the body of the paper and listed at the end.

· Use APA format.

Here is the bullet form of the swot I did :

SWOT:

Strengths

HVA offers fishing, biking, hiking, paddling, history and sightseeing

Follow the Forest initiative

It has been relatively easy to secure the cooperation of land trusts and developers.

They do have a good steady pool of large donors.

It has trails "everywhere," for "everyone"

They are local, provide localized access to recreation.

They are in control of both a great deal of land and a diverse group of lands.

Weaknesses

They are dependent on the government and donors rather than a source of income.

They may or may not currently be the primary trusted resource for information or the leader in current conservation efforts.

It can be difficult to maintain entrusted land without the support and cooperation of people living on the land

They would like to be able to secure a more diverse audience of donors than they already attract.

It can be difficult to communicate with potential donors the entire scope of the project at hand

Opportunities

People greatly are increasingly realizing the truth of global warning.

Holding COVID safe events to raise awareness of the parks and attract more visitors

Attention has particularly been shifted to well known hiking areas, of which it contains a few

Diversify donor pool

There are untapped groups of donors that can yet provide benefit.

Lots of history in the area, can provide an opportunity for educational programs

They have the opportunity to maintain and improve a large continuous bodies of land and water because of this.

Threats

Climate changing - our region is expierening more powerful and frequent storms

There is less emphasis on environmental conservation due to the current political climate.

Limited access to recreation - unforunately getting to them or on them isn't always safe nor easy.

Invasive species - one of the largest threats to our natural enviroments

Habitat destruction and disruption - development threatens species - both plants and animals.

There are many other parks and trails in connecticut

"With many public beaches and pools closed due to the pandemic, more visitors are coming to the river for recreational purposes, resulting in public safety concerns and littering."

Other threats to their existence include fragmenting wildlife habitats, development, climate change, invasive species, tics and the use of pesticides.
