As a part of this course you will complete a Group Project. Each assigned group will design and present an afterschool program based on the principles/best practices presented in text(s), class discussions, and lectures. The paper must address/include the following topics:

· Goal(s) of Afterschool Program
· Mission Statement of Afterschool Program

· Activities of Program (academic, recreational, and/or cultural components)
· Policies & Procedures for Afterschool Program (Include guidelines & rules regarding disruptive student and parent behavior, late pick-ups, irregular attendance, and participant drop-outs)
· Special Considerations (optional)
· Food/ Snacks served
· Recruitment of Employees
· Employee Committees
· Ethical Considerations & Training of Employees

Because scientific writing is an important component of academic psychology, students must become familiar with the basic elements of APA style and format. Students must adhere to the following guidelines in order to receive full credit for writing assignments:

2. Times New Roman, size 12, double-spaced

5. Double spacing

7. Spelling and Grammar checks
8. Papers stapled in upper left corner (no binders or covers)
9. References (if applicable)
10. Introduction and Conclusion paragraphs
This (5-10) Page essay should be in APA format. If you use any reference other than the textbook, make sure it's documented.
