Running head: REQUIREMENT IN MANAGERIAL SUCCESS
REQUIREMENT IN MANAGERIAL SUCCESS
For managers, there are a set of things that play a critical role in the organizational success. They are required to be equipped with some skills that helps them to effectively and efficiently manage an organization (Zastrow & Kirst-Ashman, 2006). One of these fundamental skills is the management and understanding of the human behaviors. As noted, organization cannot exist without human labor, here, the role of a manager comes in as a person who is liable for integrating human element to bring the overall organizational success. Organizational of people cannot come without understanding their personality as well what keeps them going.
For a manager understanding human behavior means that one is able to know what motivates his labor force and also what can impact on their productivity. When it comes to the issue of diversity at the organization, one knows where and how to bring together employees from various backgrounds for the wellbeing of the organization and also enhancement of human relationship. For individual employees, understanding the behavior of each employees is the single most virtue that a manager can poses, this ensures that managers can tell the strengths and weaknesses of an employee when assigning duties (Augier & Teece, 2006). When it comes to negative behaviors, a manager can as well solve this an individual level through the understanding that he has on employee’s behavior.
I strongly think that team performance is of more important for the team. This is due to the fact that team performance touches on critical aspect of human behavior in an organization. For a team to perform excellently, a manager need to understand how the skills in the team will be combined to attain the set goal. Also, the composition of team include other aspects such as diversity that essentially bring on board members from different backgrounds to work towards the attainment of a set objective.
