· Explain why you selected this particular masterpiece. 

· Identify three major characteristics of Renaissance art that seem most important to you (refer to the article and chart provided).

· Explain how the characteristics of Renaissance art that you selected are displayed in your chosen Renaissance masterpiece.

· 5 Hi class and professor Allen,

Happy Monday! The renaissance masterpiece I chose is by Leonardo De Vinci, An Angel in Green with a Vielle.  I chose this art because its very gothic looking and the detail to the masterpiece is just incredible. Renaissance artwork is very hard to read and can be hard to understand, in my opinion. 

The three characteristics I believe makes this Renaissance artwork is 1) Realism: The angel look is a part of the Christianity look to it. It also shows power of the art with great influence. 2) Is Humanism: This particular artwork has an aesthetic beauty to it with geometric proportions.  And 3) Light and Shadows: This painting has a dark look to it like a shadow look.
