Draft Presentation Course Project Part Two: Draft Speaking Notes 7 Module Seven: Human Culture / Page 7.1.3 Course Project: Part Two: Draft Speaking Notes On this page: 0 of 7 attempted (0%) Objective: Draft the speaking notes for your presentation, keeping the needs of your audience in mind.
The slides you turn in for this course will be made up of two parts: the slide itself, which is what you would show; and the speaking notes, which contain what you would say.
Your exploration document had 11 prompts, each consisting of a paragraph or two of text, with one more category in the rubric related to grammar and usage.
Similarly, your presentation must directly address these six prompts:
1. Overview 2. Impact the Audience 3. Evidence 4. Personally 5. Studying the Humanities 6. Humanities
Your presentation also has two more rubric categories relating to your work overall:
7. Message 8. Grammar and Usage
Recall the overview for this part of the project:
In part two, you will develop a presentation for your audience. In your presentation, you will discuss the impact of the cultural artifacts, theme, and thesis statement on both individuals and society, supporting your claims with evidence. You will also explain how the study of the humanities has impacted you both personally and professionally.
And remember the assignment:
Based on your exploration document, create a presentation that explains how the humanities have impacted you, both personally and professionally, and discusses the impact of your theme on your audience.
Finally, one of the overall categories in the rubric asks that you tailor your presentation to your audience:
Communicate your message in a way that is tailored to your specific audience. For instance, you could consider your vocabulary, your audience’s potential current humanities knowledge (or lack thereof), and what is particularly important to the audience.
