Warner uses sarcastic language to describe the people he deems as “subversive”. He calls them “ideological termites”. Meaning that they are using American resources unlawfully.

2. Does Warner assert that Hollywood is full of communists?

Yes. Warner assets that Hollywood is full of communists. This is implicated in his statement when he says; “If there are communists in our industry, organization or society who seek to undermine our free institutions……”

3. What does Warner say HUAC should do with regards to communists?

According to Warner, HUAC should chase away communists. In his testimony, he notes, “I say, let us dig them out and get rid of them”.

4. How does he defend the pro-Russian Film Mission to Moscow?

Warner defends pro-russian Film Mission to Moscow that the pictures in the film did not influence in any way the people who saw it in the country. He also noted that the film was only made to fulfill the same wartime purpose as to what Americans had.

5. Compare the 4th paragraph (which begins with "Our company") to Warner's defense of himself in the cross examination on Mission to Moscow. In your judgement, do his answers there support his earlier statement about the company (Warner Bros)?

In the fourth paragraph, Warmer defends the communists on coming up with the motion pictures. In the previous paragraphs, Warmer had condemned the communists for making any of the pictures concerning the war.

6. Do you believe Warner when he says "I can't see how [Mission to Moscow] would influence anyone”?

I do not believe Warmer. This is because, films made showing pictures of war would have an immense impact on those who would see them. This would make them want to revenge on what occurred.
