Survey on Leisure Activities You have been asked to complete this survey by a student in HTR 741 Tourism Research Concepts being taught by Dr. Tom Griffin, an Assistant Professor in the Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management ([email protected]).
The data collected will be used by students in class to complete their projects.
You will be asked to complete this survey that takes around 7 minutes, and to answer questions about your experiences and perceptions of leisure activities, your media habits, and some demographic information.
Your Ryerson email address is being collected, but that is only to confirm you are a Ryerson student, and your email will be deleted from the data and will not be shared with anyone other than Dr. Griffin.
Your answers will be shared in an Excel file with the students in the HTR 741 class (without your email) to be used in a class assignment.
The student who has asked you to complete this survey will receive a small number of participation points for finding people to complete this survey. However, your participation in this survey is completely voluntary. You should not feel any pressure to complete this survey, and can close the browser at any time before you submit and your data will be deleted. The student who approached you will not be informed whether you completed this survey or not, and will not have access to the data that includes your email address.

The Toronto Islands - also called the Island, or Toronto Island Park are around 5km in length, and are a group of 15 islands connected by pathways and bridges. You can walk from one end of the Island to the other. Visitors can go to the beach, swim in the lake, cycle (your own or rent), enjoy Centreville amusement park, eat and drink on outdoor patios, take a picnic, play disco golf, go boating, enjoy nature and wildlife, and more. It is the largest urban car-free community in North America, with around 700 residents.
Toronto Islands are located in Lake Ontario, a 13-minute ferry ride from downtown Toronto. Boats to the Island leave from the Ferry Terminal at the foot of Bay St. The public ferry costs $8.50 return.
