Transportation in Shanghai
Shanghai boasts one of the best city transportation systems in the nation.
It is important to purchase a Shanghai jiaotong card(most likely clipper card)
Shanghai transportation consist several method including:
Public bus: 1,100 official bus lines in Shanghai with about 50 more opened or adjusted every year
Subways: 12 subway lines that link the city are only open up in rush hours
Taxi: Over 50,000 taxis in Shanghai
Train: The main route of rapid train is between longyang road and shanghai pudong international airport.
Big bus tour: The big bus tour takes travelers to all of the city’s top landmark including Jade buddha Temple, the Oriental, Pearl Tower, the People’s Square, and the Bund.

The bund (Mid-1800s-1930s) The river
It is Shanghai's famed waterfront promenade, stretches 1.5km along the west bank of Huangpu River, which is known as the “the exotic building clusters of Shanghai”. And it is one of the most popular attractions in Shanghai.
Jade buddha Temple（the picture on the right）
Located in the crowd of Shanghai city, It was first built in 1882 in Jiangwan on the southern outskirts of Shanghai.
Shanghai Oriental Pearl Radio and TV Tower(1991-1994)
Located in the Pudong District, adjacent Shanghai World Financial Center. Completed in 1995 to a highly innovative design, Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower has become a symbol of excellence in architecture and is a favorite sight for tourists in Shanghai. (467.9m)
Shanghai World Financial Center (2008)
It is a super tall skyscraper in Pudong New Area,On 14 September 2007 the skyscraper was topped out at 492.0 meters (1,614.2 feet) and it has become the 3rd tallest building in the world; as well as the 2nd tallest structure on mainland China, including Hong Kong.

Shanghai Museum is a large museum of ancient Chinese art. It is sited on the People's Square in the Huangpu District of Shanghai, China.
Over 120,000 pieces Includes bronze, calligraphy, ceramics, furniture, jades, paintings, ancient coins, seals, minority art and foreign art, sculptures, etc.
Was Founded and first open in the public in 1952
How to get to these places
Jade buddha Temple: You can get on Metro line 13, and get off at Jiangninglu Station (江宁路)， and then walk 450 meters to get there.
Shanghai World Financial Center (2008): The most cheapest and convenient way to get to the building is to take Subway Line 2 and get off at Lujiazhui Station. Or if you do not care about the expense, you may take a taxi to get there.
Shanghai Oriental Pearl and TV Tower: You may take Subway Line 2 and get off at Lujiazui Station; or take Public Buses 81, 82, 85, 314, 583, 774, 795, 798, 799, 870, 961, 971, 985, 992, 993, then get off at Lujiazui Station. Oriental Pearl TV Tower can be reached by a few minutes walk after you get off the bus or subway.
Things Not to Do in Shanghai
Avoid talking about death as it is considered a serious and ominous topic amongst chinese people.
Avoid giving gifts that are the color white because it represents death.
Respect the culture
Don’t disrespect traditions and customs.
Respect cultural landmarks such as temples.
No Personal Contact
Physical contact such as hugging and kissing is not common amongst chinese people.
When greeting, instead of a handshake, a nod is fine
Chopsticks etiquette
Chopsticks are for eating! Don’t use it for anything else.
Don’t stand your chopsticks straight into your bowl of food, incense for dead people, instead place it on top on sides
Traveling on your own
Language barrier can be an issue.
Most chinese people don’t speak english very well, thus asking locals for help can be very difficult
