How is communication valued or not valued within your workplace?
Virginia
Voluntary turnover is a type of turnover that occurs when employees willingly choose to leave their positions. For example, someone re-sign from their position, or they retire or just leave. Involuntary turnover is one type of turnover that occurs when an employee is terminated or fired from a position. This is when an employee get fired. Juanita needs to come up with a way to reduce voluntary and involuntary turnover because either way; it is a position that needs to be fill. Each and every position within a company needs to be fill to cut down with stress with the job.
When disciplining a low-performing employee it should be a positive reinforcement. Instead of being negative try concentrating on ways to help them improve their performance so that they can be high performance as well.
The exit interview is to collect information about the company by leaving employees. This is gain feedback from employee in order to improve aspects of the organization, better retain employees and reduce turnover. This information can give the company feedback; that can help the company improve.

I believe Juanita needs to attempt reducing voluntary turnovers. The reason I say this is because voluntary turnovers cost the organization money because of recruiting new hires and the training of them. One policy of discipline is "Hot Stove Rule", it says that discipline should be like a hot stove. Give clear warning then follow up with consistent, objective, and immediate consequences. Another discipline is called the progressive discipline. This discipline identifies and communicates unacceptable behaviors and responds to a series of offenses. The steps to this discipline is an unofficial written warning, first. Next will be an official warning, next will be a warning plus threat of temporary suspension, next a temporary suspension plus a written notice that this is the last chance to improve. The final step will be termination. I figure these two would help get rid of employees that didn't want to work. "Job Satisfaction" is a pleasant feeling resulting from the perception that one's job fulfills or allows for the fulfillment of ones's important job values. How is a way to follow job satisfaction? Monitoring job satisfaction by hiring employees predisposed to being satisfied, designing complex, meaningful jobs, reinforcing shared values, and setting satisfactory pay levels.
Exit interviews are meaningful in that they will give information of the reason the person is leaving and possibly in the future changes could be made to stop this from happening.
