Transfer of training is deploying the acquired knowledge and skills from a training program to the targeted task or role. Managers are responsible for the transfer of training because they act as learning supports and resources to their employees (Matthews, 2018). managers can ensure the acquired skills and knowledge through training programs are applied to their tasks or roles by creating an environment that will allow the skills and knowledge application to occur. Without their commitments to support their employees' learning process in this way, there will be optimal results from training efforts.

After training managers need to discuss with their team members how they can incorporate what they have learned during the training program into their daily tasks. Being free with employees during the discussion will create an environment that will allow the acquired skills and knowledge to be applicable in their daily tasks. Managers should understand that their employees look up to them for a lead and they have more power over their team behaviors than another individual will be (Matthews, 2018).

Currently, technology has steadily evolved in almost every sector of organizations and companies. The use of technology has been improving the efficacy of organizations as they can conduct their tasks effectively. In the transfer of training, the use of technology such as Electronic Performance Support Systems (EPSS) is being deployed to many organizations to ensure employees are applying the acquired knowledge and skills during the training in their daily roles or tasks (Broderick, 2020). EPSS is a technological application installed in computers to provide employees with knowledge and skills training, information access, and expert advice. They intensify the transfer of training by providing employees who are being trained with an electronic source they can refer to while attempting to deploy the acquired skills in their daily jobs. Trainers can use these applications to monitor their trainees and get information concerning the transfer of training challenges employees might be encountering (Broderick, 2020).
