Financial Statement Analysis Video Assignment

Video content requirements You will be creating a short video (8 – 10 minutes) reporting your term project on financial statement analysis. This video should include:

• You! Introduce yourself. List your major(s) and year in school. Use a webcam for this portion of the video so that you are seen for this part.

• A short overview of the project report. Describe the contents of your report. • Detailed narration of the key findings. Present your results as if you are communicating

financial results to potential investors. • Conclusions. Summarize your findings before you reach your conclusion on whether the

target company is worth investing or not.

Screencast-O-Matic instructions Screencast-O-Matic is a screen recorder and video editor. It can be used with both Windows and Mac operating systems; it can also be used on a Chromebook. Screencast-O-Matic offers a free account that you can use for this project.

Here are the steps you will use to create your video:

1. Create a PowerPoint file that includes the Video content requirements. 2. Sign up for a free Screencast-O-Matic account by clicking on the Sign Up button. 3. View a basic introduction to Screencast-O-Matic at this link (7:14 minutes). 4. View other tutorial videos and support information as needed at Screencast-O-Matic at

the Screencast-O-Matic support page. 5. Record your video using Screencast-O-Matic. Be sure to include your introduction at the

beginning by using your webcam. Do not record your video using your phone. 6. Publish your video to Screencast-O-Matic. Upload your video to Screencast-O-Matic. On

the option “Searchable” right above the Publish button, select “No where” so that your video will not show up in search results.

7. Submit your video URL to your instructor per the instructor’s instructions. See this video for instructions on how to obtain your video URL (sharing a video.) Test your URL (in incognito mode or private mode in your browser) before sending it to your instructor.
