How Paper 1 will be graded. The key factor will be: How comprehensively are the concepts/ examples discussed?

1) How comprehensive are each of the Q, O, N, & E discussed in each of the opening paragraphs when you first focus on describing them? Do you include appropriate perspectives from more than one chapter that are relevant? Do you include appropriate information relevant to each Q, O, N, & E? Does each sentence enrich your discussion, or are you just adding needless sentences that do provide elaboration, or not add relevant description/ perspective?

2) How comprehensive are each of your 16 specific

applications that you engaged in? Does each demonstrate an in-depth application for each Q, O, N, & E, or does each need more elaboration? Does each sentence enrich your discussion, or are you just adding needless sentences that do provide elaboration, or not add relevant description/ perspective?

3) How comprehensively does each of your 16 examples from Chapters 1 – 6 demonstrate in-depth discussion? Does each demonstrate an in-depth discussion of the example, or do they simply state the example without appropriate elaboration? Does each sentence enrich your discussion, or are you just adding needless sentences that do not provide elaboration, or do not add relevant description/ perspective?

Three additional factors will be: 1) Is the paper a minimum of 6 pages and a maximum of 8; 2) Is the paper properly formatted; and 3) Has the paper been carefully proofread for spelling and grammar, and is it organized into focused paragraphs?
