How does E. Lynn Harris interweave the issues of race, religion, and sexuality in his novel I Say A Little Prayer? Is it possible to say what element most influences Chauncey's life? How does he deal with the possible internal and external conflicts between the three elements? What have you learned personally from his journey? (Be sure to include at least three short quotes from different parts of the book, as well as using your own words to refer to specific incidents throughout the novel.)
