An individual analysis of 800 words researching a hospitality facility

that requires refurbishment/renovation of your choosing. This facility

must not be one that has undergone, or is currently in the process of

undergoing renovations / refurbishments. The facility that you select

must be one that you consider is in need of renovations.

Indiviual Research Analysis

An individual analysis of 800 words researching a hospitality facility that requires refurbishment/renovation of

your choosing. This facility must not be one that has undergone, or is currently in the process of undergoing

renovations / refurbishments. The facility that you select must be one that you consider is in need of

renovations.

Your research should consider what has influenced the refurbishment/renovation, including areas such as:

 Brief history of the site

 Current use of the site

 The target markets & their expectations (Is it up to the standards of the target-market’s requirements?)

 The renovation concept (concept to be relevant to target markets expectations or operational needs)

 Who are the stakeholders affected by this renovation and what is it that they want to achieve?

The analysis must be submitted in compliance with the following:

1. Consider the proposed refurbishment/renovation from the perspectives of the target market(s) and the

stakeholders and present your considerations in relation to the concepts of Asset Management.

2. Must be presented in an essay format, of no more than 800 words in length (±10%).

3. Essay must be uploaded through the learning portal. No email or hard copies will be accepted.

4. The report will be due on Sunday of Week 8.

5. A minimum of 6 references (minimum 4 academic & minimum 2 other sources), using in-text referencing

and a reference list must be utilised for this task. References to ‘wikipedia’ or to similar unsubstantiated

sources will not be accepted. Follow the APA referencing system.

6. Any detection of plagiarism will lead to an immediate fail grade in the task, and possible exclusion from the

subject, in accordance with the relevant policies and procedures.

7. In the event of serious illness or unusual circumstances, a student may apply for special consideration in

accordance with the rules and regulations governing this application, but it is important that such requests be

made as soon as the circumstance is known.
