About Us The Hope Foundation Reentry Network provides

essential support focusing on critical areas, such as employment, housing, peer and

recovery support, virtual support, and recovery resources.

In 2025, The Hope Foundation (HFRN) made tremendous progress in supporting DC Department of Corrections residents and returning citizens as they reintegrated into society. We proudly

served 2,773 individuals, guiding them on their journey toward rebuilding their lives. Our efforts were centered around family reunification, assisting participants in repairing relationships that

strengthen their support systems. We collaborated with local businesses to create job opportunities, equipping individuals with the necessary skills for stable employment. Our

commitment to sobriety involved providing access to recovery resources and peer support, promoting healthier lifestyles. By offering comprehensive services, we empowered individuals to achieve sustainable living, ultimately reducing recidivism and enhancing the overall well-being of

the community.

Our Vision

Our Mission

The Hope Foundation Reentry Network (HFRN) provides transitional,

prevention and educational supportive services to adults and youth that are

either incarcerated or youth in the DCPS system in the District of

Columbia.

HFRN seeks to reduce recidivism by becoming the nations leading

comprehensive support services program

Our Team Our Team is made up of dedicated

professionals, mentors, and community advocates who are deeply committed to restoration, accountability, and second

chances. Drawing from lived experience, professional expertise, and a shared passion for service, our team works

collaboratively to support individuals and families as they navigate reentry and transitional pathways. We lead with

compassion, integrity, and consistency— meeting people where they are while

helping them build stability, purpose, and long-term success.

Our programs are designed to reach individuals within 4 to 6

months pre-release from incarceration. We provide over

624 hours of service per participant over the course of

their program.

designed to promote public safety through the effective and efficient

Fresh Start Mentoring Program. Our evidence-based "What Works" components challenge individuals' thought processes in a structured

therapeutic setting, aiming to enhance self-efficacy and intrinsic motivation. Our goal is to support

individuals in achieving substance abuse freedom and adopting a

criminal-free lifestyle.

2025 SEASON OF GIVING

Give Thanks

In 2025, the Hope Foundation’s Reentry Network Program partnered with D.C. United to host our

Season of Giving event for children and families with loved ones who are incarcerated, serving 70

families. Two weeks prior to the event, we shared a meal with parents at the Department of Corrections,

where they prepared and signed cards for their children. At the event, families received these messages of love and participated in wellness

activities that promote resilience, connection, and healing. Participant feedback affirmed the program’s

impact in maintaining bonds during separation and reducing stress for caregivers and children.

THANKSGIVING ON THE INSIDE

Give Thanks

Thanksgiving on the Inside created a space for connection, gratitude, and family-centered

celebration. The Hope Foundation Reetry Network prepared a meal for families to make

this a meaningful holiday. The event was organized to bring together 40 residents, 40 chaperones, and 102 children, allowing the

families to share a special meal.

Christmas on the Inside honored residents as parents first, creating a meaningful opportunity

for them to wrap and prepare holiday gifts for their children. A total of 96 residents, 32

women and 64 men, participated in the event, selecting and wrapping presents with care,

pride, and intention. This experience restored a sense of dignity and normalcy, allowing parents to show up for their children during the holidays

and reinforcing the importance of family connection, even in challenging circumstances.

nurturing environments, the Family First Parenting Program aims to

positively influence the well-being of children, even while their parents are incarcerated. This initiative fosters a

sense of hope and encourages personal growth, ultimately

contributing to stronger family connections and healthier child

development.

The Family First Parenting Program initiative, designed for residents of the DC Department of Corrections, offers a

structured eight-week course aimed at equipping incarcerated parents with essential parenting skills. This

program focuses on nurturing children from birth, emphasizing healthy brain development and the

importance of creating a supportive environment.

The Inaugural Sneaker Soiree, held at the National Union Building, was a remarkable fundraising gala aimed at

supporting the Children of Incarcerated Parents Season of Giving Initiative. This event united community

members, advocates, and supporters dedicated to transforming the lives of children affected by the criminal

justice system. Every ticket purchased and donation made during the evening contributed to a ripple effect, empowering families and enriching communities. The funds raised will provide essential resources, helping

break down barriers that threaten the well-being of these vulnerable children.

By coming together, we not only uplift families but also foster hope for a brighter future. The success of this

inaugural event underscores the collective impact we can achieve when we stand united for a common cause.

Antoine Miller’s journey since his release on November 19, 2024, has been nothing short of inspiring. After spending 18 months in incarceration, he returned home with a strong motivation to rebuild his life. His determination was evident as he engaged with the Ready Center, eager to take the first steps toward his new beginning.

Mr. Miller began the Lead Out program in March 2024, participating in

workshops and mentoring sessions designed to support reentry into

society.

He actively utilized resources, including a peer navigator, to help him establish a daily routine and

navigate challenges.

His dedication to personal growth and sobriety has played a pivotal role in his

transformation.

Upon graduating from the Lead Out program, Antoine secured a permanent

position with CBI, a maintenance company located at the library.

Transitioned to full-time employment, which has greatly contributed to his

sense of purpose and stability.

Achieved sobriety, significantly impacting his overall well-being

and future prospects.

Received recognition through his permanent employee badge,

symbolizing his commitment and transformation.
